The Train-the-trainers Course was conducted on 1-11 September 2020 at the Regional Center of Excellence for Continued Education and Certification for HVAC&R specialists .
Dear teachers, we are pleased to present you the electronic didactic materials on the preservation of the ozone layer, developed and adopted jointly by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia and international partner organizations.
Phase-down of HFCs is expected to prevent the emissions of up to 105 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent of greenhouse gases, helping to avoid up to 0.5 degree Celsius of global temperature rise by 2100 while protecting the ozone layer.
The platform aimed to support the coordination of ongoing projects, share experience and discussion of further activities. During the workshop, the draft VET Action Plan for the Education Strategy for 2020-2025 was presented.

But the energy emanating from the sun would be too much for life on Earth to thrive were it not for the ozone layer. This stratospheric layer shields Earth from most of the sun’s harmful ultraviolet radiation.
On August 14 2020, a meeting of the working group on the adoption of the EN 378-1-2020 standard took place. During the meeting the RAC specialists together with the national ozone officer discussed the terminology in Armenian used in the text of the standard.
Due to the high intensity of UV radiation during the summer months, the National Ozone Unit installed information posters at bus stops in the administrative districts of Yerevan.
Held annually on 26 June, the World Refrigeration Day was created to raise awareness about the importance of refrigeration technologies in everyday life and to raise the profile of the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat-pump sector. On this occasion, the National Ozone Unit presents the Armenian version of "Cold Chain 4 Life" information posters, which can be guidelines for both professionals, the state and citizens.
