The REAL Alternatives 4 LIFE project has recently launched a FREE e-learning course completion certificate available to anyone who has completed all pages of all nine of the    e-learning modules. The e-learning modules cover fundamentals and safety related to low GWP refrigerants (flammables, carbon dioxide and ammonia).  The e-learning is available in 15 different languages. The Armenian version will be available for the third quarter of the current 2020.
The children were explained both the beneficial and harmful effects of the sun, the affects of UV rays on both human health, plant growth, development, fertility and the fauna.
On 31 January - 1 February 2020 a workshop was held at «Apaga Resort» to discuss measures to be implemented by the NOU under the working plan.
On 21 January, 2020 a series of three training courses was launched at the Regional Center for Continuing Education and Certification for HVAC&R specialists.
The opening ceremony of the «Refrigeration systems» profession (with «Refrigeration Systems Technician»  qualification) was held at Achemyan Regional State College N 2 of Yerevan attended by RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Mr. A. Harutyunyan, RA Minister of Environment Mr. E. Grigoryan, as well as the ministry and college staff.
On 19-20 December, 2019 the Wrap-up Stakeholder Meeting was held in Byurakan in the framework of HCFC Phase-out project (Phase II). The meeting was attended by the representatives of concerned Government bodies, private organizations and RAC sector.
During the training the participants were provided with the possibility to use the system's tools, self-identify them, familiarize with various sections on the platform, fill in the relevant fields, and ensuring all steps of the platform.
The National Ozone Unit initiated the meeting on 2 December 2019, at the Ministry of Environment involving the representatives of the afore mentioned Project and the Ozone Expert Group.
On 13 October 2019, the 5th annual Yerevan Marathon was held, which was selected by the National Ozone Unit as a platform to raise awareness on the issue of the ozone layer preservation and the importance of protection against UV radiation.
On the 4th of October the current ODS import/export licensing system and the need to replace it with a new one were introduced to the participants. On the next day, the draft electronic licensing system and its practical application were presented.
