A quest lecturing was delivered for graduate students of the American University of Armenia, course "Humans and the Natural Environment" on 1 July 2021 by the National Ozone Focal Point Ms. Liana Ghahramanyan.
The National Ozone Unit jointly with the National Body for Standardization and Metrology has developed the national standard AST EN 13313:2021 «Refrigerating systems and heat pumps - Competence of personnel» based on the international standard EN 13313, adopted by the order of the Director of the National Body for Standardization and Metrology N 83.
For the past three years, June 26 has been marked as World Refrigeration Day. On this occasion, the National Ozone Unit of the Ministry of Environment of Armenia in conjunction with «Zvartnots» International Airport organized a study visit for the students and professors of the «Refrigeration Systems»  specialty of three regional state colleges.
The Train-the-trainers Course was conducted on 3-9 June 2021 at the Regional Center of Excellence for Continued Education and Certification for HVAC&R specialists. This training course focused on maintenance, installation and dismantling of air conditioning systems. The knowledge acquired during the training course will be further transferred by professors to students of «Refrigeration Systems» major course.
Standards are of key importance for the development of the sector.
On 23 May 2021, the National Ozone Unit of the Ministry of Environment of Armenia jointly with the «Environment and Health» NGO organized a study tour to the «Amberd» ozone-measuring meteorological station of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center for the winners of the «Garbage-free Planet» competition.
On May 18-19, 2021 the National Ozone Unit of the Ministry of Environment jointly with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization  conducted a training course for the representatives of the «Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center» SNCO under the «Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building» Project.
The National Ozone Unit under the Ministry of Environment of Armenia has developed a series of «Be Aware, Protect the Ozone Layer» educational activities within the framework of the «Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building» Project implemented by UNIDO jointly with the Environment and Health NGO.
On April 12, 2021, the National Ozone Unit under the Ministry of Environment of Armenia held a meeting at the Ibis Yerevan Center, dedicated to the new import procedure for HFCs stipulated by the new legal regulations.
On March 4, 2021, a series of training courses for RAC experts was launched within the framework of the second phase of the non-investment component of the HPMP stage II in cooperation with the Refrigeration Association of Armenia. The first meeting took place in Vanadzor, chaired by members of the Refrigeration Association and NOU experts.
