From October 14-18, 2024, a study tour to Podgorica, Republic of Montenegro took place as part of the project "Additional activities for maintaining energy-efficiency in the refrigeration servicing sector”.
The Armenian delegation included National Ozone Focal Point, representatives from the Climate Policy Department of the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating Engineering Association of Armenia (RAHEА), and NOU experts.
Throughout the visit, the Armenian delegation met with representatives from Montenegro’s Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Region Development, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Ministry of Energy, the Department of Energy Efficiency, the Ministry of Economic Development, Market Control, and the Chamber of Engineers. Furthermore, the delegation had the opportunity to visit Technomax and Home Company LLCs, specializing in the import of refrigerants, as well as refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
Montenegrin representatives shared insights into their national approach to energy efficiency, including the establishment of minimum efficiency standards for cooling and refrigeration. Montenegro’s broader climate change policies were also discussed.
Both sides agreed to continue sharing expertise and strengthen cooperation going forward.
