On 13 October 2019, the 5th annual Yerevan Marathon was held, which was selected by the National Ozone Unit as a platform to raise awareness on the issue of the ozone layer preservation and the importance of protection against UV radiation. The Caucasian Leopard was selected as a mascot of the Yerevan Marathon 2019.
The National Ozone Unit installed a pavilion on the site and exhibited thematic coloring books for children and information sheets and brochures for grown-ups.
The marathon was concluded with the awards ceremony conducted by the First Deputy Minister of Environment Irina Ghaplanyan.
