On December 14-15, 2024, as part of the "Additional activities for maintaining energy-efficiency in the refrigeration servicing sector" project, two training sessions were held for 70 specialists  working in the  sector. The training consisted of both theoretical and practical parts.

In the first part, participants were introduced to the components of refrigeration systems, the basics of thermodynamics, the principles of energy efficiency in HVAC system design, as well as the main criteria for selecting energy-efficient equipment and commercial refrigeration systems.

The second part was held at Zvartnots International Airport, within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Environment and the airport, bearing in mind the progressive steps taken by «Zvartnots» International Airport in HVAC&R sector, such as advanced cooling and air conditioning technologies and ISO 500001 standard against which the company is certified. Participating specialists had the opportunity to observe the refrigeration, water treatment, building management systems (BMS), and energy monitoring and management systems in operation at the airport.

Approximately 70 specialists participated in the training, exceeding the initially planned 60. The participants received certificates of participation.
