Taking into account the changes made to the Law “On the Protection of the Ozone Layer” NO-398-N, adopted on December 11, 2023, we are pleased to present to you the main provisions stipulated by these amendments:

- Entrepreneurs shall provide information on leakage control in electronic form to the authorized government agency. Subject to leakage control are installations containing controlled substances, such as refrigerators, air conditioners, heat pumps and other equipment containing refrigerants (ozone-depleting substances/hydrofluorocarbons), as well as repair leaking installations without undue delay.

- In the area of ozone-depleting substances and hydrofluorocarbons, the government is given the authority to monitor leaks, setting up the procedure for recording the results and approving the format of the logbook for such installations.

- The Code of Administrative Offenses defines a measure of liability sufficient to prevent a possible offense by an entrepreneur or the application of liability.
