On May 29, 2024, the launch event was held at ibis Yerevan Center for two projects to be jointly implemented with UNEP: "Preparation of National Inventory of Banks of Used or Unwanted Controlled Substances" and "Additional Activities for Maintaining Energy Efficiency in the Refrigeration Servicing Sector of Armenia". The meeting was attended by representatives from the Department of Atmospheric Policy, the Department of Climate Policy, the Department of Hazardous Substances and Waste Policy, the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO of the Ministry of Environment, the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating Engineering Armenian Association, and experts from the National Ozone Unit.

The National Ozone Focal Point, Ms. Liana Ghahramanyan, outlined the 2024 - 2025 activities under projects, providing a comprehensive overview of the measures to be implemented, their deadlines, the critical importance of stakeholder involvement at every stage, the anticipated challenges, and the strategies planned to address them.
