For the past three years, June 26 has been marked as World Refrigeration Day.

On this occasion, the National Ozone Unit of the Ministry of Environment of Armenia in conjunction with «Zvartnots» International Airport organized a study visit for the students and professors of the «Refrigeration Systems»  specialty of three regional state colleges.

Taking into account the progressive steps taken by «Zvartnots» International Airport in HVAC&R sector, such as modern refrigeration and air conditioning systems and ISO 500001 standard applied by the company, over 35 participants were given the opportunity to get exposed to the policy and experience of the airport. The meeting started from the «Cargo» Terminal where the participants visited cold storages with variable temperature regimes and learned about the installation and maintenance practices. In the mechanical room of the new terminal the significance of the installed boilers, steam boilers, chillers and cooling towers was presented, and in the basement, the specifics of the equipment performance was revealed.

The study tour was conducted by Mr. Artur Mkrtchyan, responsible for HVAC&R sector at «Zvartnots» International Airport.
