The National Ozone Unit jointly with the National Body for Standardization and Metrology has developed the national standard AST EN 13313:2021 «Refrigerating systems and heat pumps - Competence of personnel» based on the international standard EN 13313, adopted by the order of the Director of the National Body for Standardization and Metrology N 83.

The standard establishes the types of work with the refrigeration cycle, the relevant qualifications of the personnel performing the work, and the qualification assessment procedures.

Improperly designed, installed, operated and maintained, refrigeration systems can pose a risk to human health, safety, property, the environment, and consume too much energy. Therefore, personnel dealing with such systems should be competent to carry out the activities or types of activities specified in this Standard.

The standard will be enacted on September 16, 2021 and made available on www.armstandard.am website accordingly.
