On April 13, 2023, the third phase of the series of environmental awareness-raising meetings was launched by the National Ozone Unit of the Ministry of Environment of the RA with the participation of 60 students from primary schools № 12, № 5 and № 9 of Hrazdan under the "Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building" project jointly implemented with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

The series of meetings is devoted to the preservation of the ozone layer in the context of other environmental issues. National Ozone Focal Point Liana Ghahramanyan presents the role and importance of the ozone layer, addressing the proper management of ozone-depleting substances and hydrofluorocarbon emissions, and the connection between climate change and the ozone layer depletion. Many ozone-depleting substances are also potent greenhouse gasses, so phasing them out helps mitigate climate change while recovering the ozone layer.

The events are planned according to the following schedule: April 14 - Armavir region, April 20 - Ararat region, April 21 - Gegharkunik region.
